Research line / Scientific-technical services: Paleogeology and Paleoecology Grant/funding period: START: 01/09/2026 END: 31/08/2027

PURPOSE OF CONTRACT: Analysis and interpretation of data obtained in the project. Collaborator on activities related to the project/agreement stated.

JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: CICA Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 15:30 to 17:30

- Tasks to be carried out The tasks to be carried out by the beneficiary will fall within the research field of Earth and water sciences. The beneficiary of this research contract will perform: analysis using statistical techniques and interpretation of geochemical data obtained within the framework of the project for the reconstruction of climatic impacts on freshwater ecosystems.
- Justification for the duration of the contract The duration of the contract will 7 months (31/03/2027).

The call may be declared void if the candidates do not obtain a minimum score of 40 points in the selection criteria detailed in Blocks 1 and 2. The minimum score required to be included on the waiting list will be 60 points.

- Undergraduate academic record (maximum 20 points). If the applicant holds additional degrees, the score will be weighted according to the number of credits of each degree as follows: (CT1∗NT1+CT2∗NT2)/(CT1+CT2)



where CT = number of credits of the degree and NT = academic record for that degree.
- Training in statistical techniques and data management (maximum 10 points; 1 point per 10 hours of training).
- Training in Geographic Information Systems (maximum 5 points; 1 point per 10 hours of training).

Block 2 – Experience: - Experience in environmental work (maximum 20 points; 10 points per year).

- Experience in the use of biogeochemical and/or molecular analysis techniques (maximum 15 points; 4 points per year).
- Participation in scientific conferences (maximum 5 points; 1 point per conference).

Block 3 – Personal Interview: A personal interview will be conducted with those candidates who achieve a minimum score of 70 points in Blocks 1 and 2 (maximum 25 points).

The interview score will not be considered for placement on the waiting list.
