The accounting team is responsible for ensuring all financial data is input timely and accurately. In addition, the team handles payments to vendors and partners, prepares account reconciliations, ensures tax compliance, manages and forecasts cash, maintains expense platforms, manages the corporate credit card program, assists in audits, and performs other compliance-related tasks.
Essential Functions
Assist with preparation of financial statements; prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations across all subsidiaries
Prepare journal entries as required
Assist with year-end audit by providing supporting documentation to external auditors
Review employee expense reports in accordance with company policies and the Spanish Tax Agency
Provide weekly cash forecast reporting that is timely and thorough
Ensure all forecasted data is complete and accurate based on current expectations by communicating with necessary team members
Monitor bank activity and ensure all transactions are booked to the G/L
Pull necessary reporting containing customer payments and provide it to the AR team to post
Work with management to ensure tax compliance, including researching, communicating with tax authorities, and updating information as necessary
Communicate with partner teams to ensure new partner contract terms are paid out accurately
Send necessary information to AP to create invoices and remit payment
Issue new credit cards, deactivate old cards when new cards are issued, replaced, and cancelled
Continuously monitor usage overall and by cardholder to ensure adequate limits are provided
Assist with ad-hoc requests as needed
Education and Experience Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience
4+ years of related experience
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
NetSuite experience strongly preferred
Required Skills
Detailed organizational skills to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
