Overview of the Role Senior Civil Engineer (Design Engineer) – Water Division. The role involves providing design and technical support across a suite of water treatment, distribution, wastewater and desalination projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with UK, Ireland and Spanish water utilities.

Responsibilities

Work across multiple UK and Ireland water companies.

Participate in multi‑disciplinary design teams for project delivery.

Deliver excellence on all project phases: feasibility studies, detailed design, construction support and commissioning.

Prepare design submissions to meet contractual requirements.

Undertake concept, preliminary and detailed design studies.

Interface and liaise with clients and stakeholders.

Candidate Specification Essential

Civil Engineering degree or related qualification.

Chartered or near chartered status (ICE or equivalent).

Experience in water and/or wastewater engineering design.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Understanding of prioritising health, safety and environmental issues.

Proactive and adaptable to changing scenarios.





Desirable

Strong digital capability (e.g., Civils 3D, GIS, pipeline hydraulics software).

Experience contributing to low‑carbon solutions.
