Senior Data Engineer – EY GDS Spain – Hybrid We are looking for a top‑notch technology specialist to propel our projects onto a new track. You will work with the most advanced tech stack, implement new solutions, and collaborate with industry leaders. As part of our integral team, you will participate in international projects predominantly based on and implemented using Azure, GCP, and AWS.

Your Key Responsibilities As a Senior Data Engineer you are responsible for building data platforms that enable our clients and business partners to make efficient decisions with ease. You design robust solutions on state‑of‑the‑art data engines such as Databricks.

Skills And Attributes For Success Solving complex business problems on a large scale, participating in cross‑functional initiatives, collaborating across various domains, and interacting with engineers, product/project managers, and partners worldwide.

Qualifications

3‑4 years of experience in Data Engineering

3 years of experience with Databricks (including data pipelines, Unity Catalog)

3 years of experience in Big Data

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark

Background in data warehousing, ETL, distributed data processing, software engineering components, and data modeling concepts





Analytical problem‑solving skills applicable to a big data environment

Experience working with structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data

Experience with at least one public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Strong experience in relational database and non‑relational storage design techniques

Strong experience with concepts such as Data Marts, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Mesh

Very good English (verbal and written)

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), DevOps, and CI/CD principles

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

Knowledge of data formats: Parquet, Iceberg, Avro

Containerization skills: Docker, Kubernetes
