We are expanding our Databricks practice and are looking for an experienced Senior Databricks Consulting Engineer.

The Role

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers design, implement, and optimise modern data platforms on Databricks. Combining hands-on expertise with strong stakeholder management, you'll guide organisations through their data and AI transformation while maximising the value of their Databricks investment.

This is a customer-facing role requiring technical depth and excellent communication with both engineers and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise enterprise customers on Databricks architecture and best practices.
- Design scalable Lakehouse, analytics, AI, and cloud data solutions.
- Lead architecture workshops and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support implementation, adoption, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- Review workloads for scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Promote best practices for Unity Catalog, governance, and platform operations.
- Mentor customers and colleagues while delivering workshops and presentations.
- Support pre-sales, solution design, proposals, and proof of concepts.

Required Qualifications





- 7 years in Data Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Analytics, or similar.
- 3 years of enterprise Databricks experience.
- Experience designing and implementing Lakehouse architectures.
- Strong knowledge of:
- - Databricks Data Intelligence Platform
- Apache Spark
- Delta Lake
- Unity Catalog
- Data Governance
- ETL/ELT
- Data Modelling

- Experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong Python, SQL, and Spark skills.
- Experience engaging executive stakeholders.
- Fluent English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications
- Databricks certifications.
- Experience with MLflow, MLOps, Generative AI, LLMs, Data Mesh, streaming platforms, or consulting environments.
