Senior Bushing R&D; Engineer to join their global engineering team.

Role Overview This is a senior technical leadership role focused on the research, design, and development of high-voltage bushing products, including advanced DC and RIP (Resin-Impregnated Paper) technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving innovation, standardisation, and quality improvements across major product lines, while collaborating with global R&D; and manufacturing teams.

This position can be performed remotely from anywhere in Europe, with occasional travel as required.

Key Responsibilities 1. Product R&D;

Organise and lead the formulation of new product trial production and appraisal plans

Lead technical reviews, prototype development, and product validation activities

- Technical Standardisation





Drive and maintain product standardisation across bushing design and engineering practices

Implement, optimise, and continuously improve technical and process solutions for assigned product projects

- Technical Review

Take responsibility for internal technical review processes, ensuring design integrity and compliance

- Quality Control

Oversee incoming inspection of raw materials and in-process quality control

Lead root cause analysis and resolution of major technical and project-related issues

Support R&D;, process development, and quality improvement initiatives for:

DC ±600kV and ±800kV products

RIP AC 1000kV products

- Basic Research

Conduct fundamental research on raw material performance for RIP bushing applications

- Scientific Research Projects

Lead scientific research projects from initiation through execution and final evaluation

Control key milestones, timelines, and project deliverables

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related engineering discipline

Clear experience working on transformers and in other HV products

Professional certification or intermediate-level engineering qualification preferred

Minimum

8 years of experience in product design, with strong expertise in high-voltage DC product R&D;

In-depth knowledge of bushing technologies and design principles

Demonstrated ability in

Technical leadership and project coordination

Analytical problem-solving and decision-making

Working effectively in high-pressure environments

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, responsible work ethic
