About the Role As a Sourcing Manager based in Sant Cugat, Spain, you will lead tactical procurement for cutting‑edge hardware, sensor technologies, and core chemical components within Roche’s diagnostic portfolios. You will transform routine transactional requests into strategic, value‑adding solutions, driving cost savings and ensuring integral supply reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Execute end‑to‑end sourcing activities including RfIs, RfQs, RfPs, and market benchmarking for on‑market products and new product introductions.
Analyse user requirements and aggregate demand to maximise leverage; escalating non‑standard requests to Category Management.
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans (timelines, milestones, resources) and proactively mitigate risks.
Set up template‑based contracts (CDAs, SOWs), manage full lifecycle, track repository and renewals.
Utilise enterprise tools (SAP, myBuy) to streamline workflows, manage purchasing documentation, and ensure strict compliance with global procurement policies.
Track and deliver on key operational targets and customer‑service metrics (e.g., cycle times); champion supplier diversity, sustainability, and ethical practices.
Present KPI and project updates to the Sourcing Lead and global stakeholders, managing competing priorities.
Qualifications
University degree in Business, Life Sciences,
or related field; MBA and CIPS certification highly preferred.
3–5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, with a focus on tactical sourcing, contract management, and cost‑reduction programs.
Direct procurement experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or chemical sectors; exposure to categories such as Active Diagnostic Ingredients, reagents, analytical hardware (PCBAs), semiconductors, electromechanical components, IT hardware, engineering services, capex tooling, and logistics.
Advanced knowledge of AI applications and a strong interest in AI‑driven digital transformation (Digital 2.0 / Industry 4.0).
Proficiency with Business Enterprise Systems (SAP, myBuy, P2P workflows, e‑sourcing/e‑auction platforms), master data management, and BI tools such as Tableau.
Analytical thinker with a process‑first mindset; excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
Fluency in English required; German or Spanish language skills are an asset.
