About The Role As a Structural Analyst Engineer, you will be a member of the Component Structural Analysis group. This group manages advanced technical evaluations and analyses carried out on major nuclear safety class components and piping.
You will provide many services within structural mechanics, including design activities, factory/workshop follow-up, and support to nuclear power plant modifications or refueling outage. These services will apply to multiple projects, including long‑term operation support, seismic qualification, major component replacement, and plant modifications.
You will report to the Manager, Component Structural Analysis, and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in‑office). This is a full‑time role.
Main Responsibilities
Perform engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services within the structural mechanic's field
Perform hand calculations and finite element analysis calculations in ANSYS to verify the qualification of nuclear power plant components to the appropriate standards
Document analyses in English
Propose integrated solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects
Participate in international project teams and communicate with relevant parties
Potential travel to provide engineering support directly to our teams performing activities in the nuclear power plants
Based on the experience acquired and the performance obtained, you may progress toward the path of technical expertise, project management or management
Qualifications
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
1+ years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of nuclear industry and mechanical component stress analysis, fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments, finite element analysis software for structural analysis
Experience with ANSYS APDL and Workbench
Fluent in English and Spanish
