Summary

Systems Engineering ist eine funktionsübergreifende technische Disziplin, die sich auf einen Ansatz, eine Denkweise und einen Prozess konzentriert. Alle Tätigkeiten, die sowohl die geschäftlichen als auch die technischen Anforderungen der Kunden berücksichtigen, mit dem Ziel, ein Qualitätsprodukt bereitzustellen, das die Anforderungen der Benutzer erfüllt. Die Disziplin zur Umsetzung eines soliden Prozesses zum Entwerfen, Erstellen und Optimieren von Systemen, der aus der Identifizierung und Quantifizierung von Systemanforderungen, der Erstellung alternativer Systementwurfskonzepte, der Durchführung von Design-Trade-off-Studien, der Auswahl und Implementierung der besten Entwürfe und der Überprüfung der Tatsache besteht, dass das Design ordnungsgemäß integriert ist und ausgeführt wird.

Prozess, der vom Konzept über die Produktion bis zum Betrieb verläuft. Beeinflusst den Abteilungsbetrieb und ist verantwortlich für die Planung/Ausführung. Die Rolle hat eine gewisse Autonomie, konzentriert sich jedoch auf die Ausführung von Aktivitäten innerhalb einer operativen Disziplin, die durch funktionale Standardpraktiken und -verfahren abgedeckt wird.

Möglicherweise ist ein gewisses Urteilsvermögen erforderlich, dies erfolgt jedoch in der Regel unter Anleitung.

Execute assigned engineering activities for Protection & Control projects in line with the technical strategy defined or in collaboration with the Technical Leader

Develop discipline-specific technical deliverables such as system configurations, SCADA applications, equipment parameterization, signal treatment, communication interfaces, databases and technical documentation depending on project scope.

Configure and integrate SCADA systems, including HMI screens, equipment interfaces, communication protocols, digital and analog signals, events and alarm management.

Configure and validate protection, control and automation equipment, including L1/L2 IEDs, logical functions,



protection settings and communication interfaces.

Design, develop and implement communication network architectures and data exchange solutions using protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC, EGD and IEC 60870-5-104.

Contribute to master file completion, architecture definition, technical documentation updates and preparation of project engineering deliverables.

Prepare and maintain technical information required for internal and customer documentation packages, ensuring quality, completeness and traceability.

Support the definition and implementation of technical solutions in collaboration with Technical Application Engineering (TAE), ensuring alignment between customer requirements, engineering capabilities and project scope.

Execute test instructions and participate in internal validation testing, pre-FAT, FAT and SAT activities under project technical governance.

Support identification, analysis and resolution of technical issues during engineering, validation, commissioning and project delivery stages.

Collaborate with Project Management, Services, Procurement, Manufacturing, Tendering and other engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated and efficient project execution.

Act, when required, as a technical interface with customers during project execution, ensuring effective communication and alignment with local project teams.

Maintain traceability of engineering changes, technical inputs and deliverables within the project execution framework.

Provide technical support during project execution and participate, when required, in site commissioning,



start-up and field validation activities to ensure successful system delivery.

Contribute to lessons learned, standardization initiatives and continuous improvement actions aimed at enhancing project execution, operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Support commercial and tendering activities through return-of-experience feedback, technical expertise and optimization of project cost and delivery performance.

Contribute to achieving project objectives related to quality, schedule, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Follow GE Vernova compliance policies and promote a culture of integrity, transparency and open reporting.

Continuously develop technical knowledge in Protection & Control systems, Electrical Control Systems (ECS), communication networks, engineering tools and project execution practices.

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Understanding of systems, networks, and communications.

Experience in Electrical Control Systems (ECS) engineering for power generation facilities

Design and implementation of Protection & Control (P&C;) systems for gas turbine-driven power plants.

IT‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to learning and applying new technologies.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Knowledge of Electricity Transmission, Distribution & Industrial markets.

Intermediate or advanced Excel.

Languages: Fully fluent in English and Spanish.

Autonomy & rigor.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus and ability to cooperate with different departments.

Availability for occasional domestic and international travel.
