Motion Designer – Localization
Location: Barcelona, Spain. Visa sponsorship available.
What you’ll be doing
- Own Preply's motion localization pipeline for video assets across 5–9 languages (ES, DE, IT, PL, FR, JP, KR).
- Deliver multiple language versions per project with consistent quality, cultural fit, and brand fidelity.
- Design, document, and maintain localization systems and After Effects templates to streamline workflow.
- Build processes that the entire team can follow, not just individual work.
- Own quality control for all language variants before stakeholder review, flagging issues proactively.
- Coordinate with localization, video editing, and motion design teams to manage review cycles, text updates, and final delivery.
- Contribute to original motion design projects when capacity allows.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Motion Design, Visual Communications, Animation, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Motion Designer with focus on localization or multi-language video production.
- Proven experience localizing motion or video assets to 5+ languages simultaneously.
- Strong After Effects proficiency: expressions, Essential Graphics templates, pre-comps, batch work, and multi-format render pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Premiere Pro for editorial handoff and Figma for design reference and asset management.
- Track record of building or improving localization workflows, templates, naming conventions, and file structure.
- Sharp eye for detail and personal approach to quality control that does not rely on others.
- Comfortable with batch work, high project volume, and systematic delivery across multiple simultaneous deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
- Team‑oriented mindset with ability to work autonomously throughout projects.
- Knowledge or interest in emerging technologies and AI tools relevant to localization workflows.
