The mission of Thales International in regions is to foster and manage growth of Thales presence in all the countries of these regions for all Thales group activities in the aerospace, space, defense and security domains. In this context, the Regional Hub supports Thales Operational Units initiatives for exporting their solutions to customers in the Regions. Business activities are managed through the local presence of dedicated organizations (representative offices, branches, subsidiaries and JVs).
Job Overview
Legal Counsel will oversee the legal and compliance aspects of the Regional Hub and its local entities, operating within the framework of Thales Compliance Program and Group procedures. The position is based full-time at the Regional Hub’s offices in Madrid,



with occasional travel to countries within the Europe and Latin America Regions.
Responsibilities
- Secure the legal aspects of commercial engineering services to support export and domestic initiatives undertaken by Thales Operational Units in the Regions.
- Identify and select Business Advisers, qualify Key Industrial Partners, and manage ‘due diligence’ files in coordination with Country Directors and local functions.
- Draft, negotiate, prepare, and manage contracts with Business Advisers, ensuring compliance with Thales ethics rules and best practices.
- Monitor and ensure strict application of the integrity assessment of third parties (partners, suppliers, customers, distributors, etc.) by investigating internal and external sources to produce accurate legal analyses.
- Address corporate law, governance, and compliance aspects for local Thales companies, joint ventures (JVs), and branches
