We are seeking a forward‑thinking AI Logistics Process Optimization Intern to join our team. The role bridges Artificial Intelligence and real‑world supply chain operations, designing, developing and implementing AI‑driven tools that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste and streamline our logistics ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design algorithms for Space Utilization Models to optimise warehouse floor space and rack utilisation.
- Create intelligent suggestions for dynamic receiving & put‑away of incoming goods based on turnover rates and compatibility.
- Identify bottlenecks in logistics flow and propose AI‑driven automation solutions for predictive process mapping.
- Utilise machine learning to predict the most efficient delivery paths for route optimisation.
- Develop and deploy an AI‑powered chatbot for seamless natural‑language queries within the internal ERP guidelines system.
- Build predictive models for demand forecasting and anticipation of seasonal volume spikes.
Additional Innovative Projects
- Implement OCR and NLP to automate ingestion of shipping manifests and invoices.
- Develop a tool to calculate and minimise the carbon footprint of specific logistics routes.
Required Skills
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
