A integral insurer is expanding its transactional risk practice into Latin America and is looking to appoint an attorney into the team as an M&A; Underwriter to play a central role in that growth. This is a rare opportunity to join a well‑capitalised, internationally recognised insurer at the ground floor of a strategic market expansion – working on complex, cross‑border transactions across one of the world's most dynamic and fast‑developing M&A; markets.
You will be responsible for assessing, structuring, and underwriting W&I; insurance across a broad range of cross‑border transactions with a primary focus on the LatAm region. Working closely with brokers, legal advisors, and deal teams, you will be at the heart of high‑value international M&A; activity – building relationships, evaluating risk, and helping to establish the firm's presence and reputation in the region.




You will bring a strong legal background preferably with some attachment to Latin American and most likely as a transactional attorney with M&A; or corporate experience – combined with a genuine interest in the insurance side of deal‑making. Experience in W&I; or transactional risk underwriting is advantageous but not essential; what matters is strong legal analytical ability, commercial instinct, and an understanding of how deals are structured and documented in the region.
Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese (native or near‑native) is essential, as is the ability to engage confidently with clients, brokers, and advisors across the region.
