Staff Backend Engineer (Python, Kubernetes, AWS)
As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will design and build scalable services that power mission‑critical applications in a cloud‑native environment. You will develop Python based systems deployed on Kubernetes and AWS, with a focus on reliability, performance, and security.



This role offers strong ownership of backend architecture and the opportunity to shape platform standards and best practices.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement backend services and APIs using Python frameworks
- Build and deploy containerized applications on Kubernetes in AWS
- Leverage specific AWS services to power those applications (e.g. Clean Rooms, EventBridge, etc.)
- Extend infrastructure as code and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and fault tolerance
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define service contracts and architecture
- Monitor production systems and resolve reliability and performance issues

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of backend software development experience
- Professional experience developing production backend services and APIs in Python
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized work
