Senior Technical Lead – Payments Domain

The role is 100% remote, and candidates must be based in Spain.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of a critical production application within the payments domain, including architecture, development, and delivery. Lead technical efforts and drive the technical roadmap.
Skills & Knowledge
- Proven experience in a technical leadership role
- Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum B2, both written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of solution architecture design and experience in architectural development projects
- Solid experience in demand management and prioritization
- At least 2+ years of experience in data/software engineering

Technical Expertise
- Experience building Big Data applications, including Spark SQL / Spark Structured Streaming, Kafka Streams, Kafka, Databricks,



Cloudera, and AWS
- Knowledge of Scala
- Proficiency in Java programming
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases
- Experience designing and building APIs (OpenAPI)
- Solid expertise in systems analysis
- Ability to work effectively in complex, high‑pressure, and high‑visibility environments

Nice to Have
- Strong understanding of payments systems, SWIFT, and liquidity management
