The Role
We are looking for a Technical Director to be one of the key engineers of WeRiseUp. You will own the technical implementation of our Mixed Reality unity based experiences end-to-end — from a prototype on a headset in our Barcelona office, to a stable, multi-user, eight-hours-a-day installation inside a unique heritage site or a roller coaster at a major theme park.




This role is for an engineer who has shipped, not just prototyped. Someone who knows the difference between a beautiful demo and an experience that has to work for the 47th family of the day.
You will report directly to the CEO and work side-by-side with the Creative Director, Technical Artist and on-site operations team.
What you’ll do
- Build free-roam MR experiences (PICO 4, Quest 3 / Pro and equivalent) for groups of 4–6 simultaneous guests or free‑roaming, with co‑located multiplayer, room‑scale tracking and host‑controlled flow.
- Implement coaster retrofits — MR overlays synchronised to a moving roller‑coaster vehicle, with all the tracking, sync and safety constraints that entails.
- Own production engineering of our Unity‑based MR stack: gameplay code, networking, content pipeline, build process, on‑device profiling.
- Partner with the Technical Artist to keep our experiences at framerate on mobile XR hardwar
