Digital Advisory Trainee – Arup, Madrid
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of digital twin, smart city and BIM/GIS projects for public administrations and private clients.
- Prepare client deliverables under the supervision of project managers, including technical reports, use case catalogues, requirements analysis and methodology documents.
- Contribute to bids and tenders: analyse RFPs, map standards and regulatory requirements, draft technical sections and support commercial actions.
- Participate in client workshops, interviews and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- Collaborate across work areas such as urban digital twins, BIM–GIS integration, smart city data infrastructure and AI applications in the built environment.
Qualifications
- Currently studying Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, with interest or experience in programming.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Comfortable working across different topics (smart construction, decarbonisation, smart cities,
infrastructure) while developing depth in one or two areas of the built environment.
- Eye for detail and design: high presentation skills and experience in presenting work results.
- Curiosity about AI and large language models and how they can be applied to consulting workflows and the built environment.
- Data‑driven analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- High level of proficiency in English and Spanish (C1).
Conditions
- Enrolled at university to enable a cooperation agreement.
- Immediate incorporation.
- Duration: 6 months of extendable internship (possibility of joining after completion).
- Schedule: 20–40 hours per week to be defined with the student.
- Remuneration depends on the student’s level of training and the number of hours established.
