Title: Mid Level Technician – Heavy Duty
Location: 633 Avenue of Autos, Fort Wayne, IN, USA
Type: Full Time, On Site
Schedule: 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (may vary)
Pay: $27.00 – $32.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of city vehicles, including construction equipment, fire trucks, and SUVs.
- Document defects and perform minor repairs associated with preventative maintenance findings such as fluids, brakes, tires, lights, hydraulics, and general repair.
- Execute moderate removal and replacement tasks and diagnostic work.
- Conduct major and minor mechanical repairs on two‑stroke and four‑stroke compression ignition and spark ignition engines.
- Perform minor engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical repairs.
- Assist with new vehicle make‑ready service and decommissioning.
- Provide road‑side assistance for city vehicles.
- Maintain a clean,



safe work area and comply with all safety procedures.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of experience as a skilled mechanic, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of heavy and light equipment, internal combustion and diesel engines.
- Proficiency with garage tools, scan tools, and mechanical diagnostics.
- Valid Indiana driver’s license; CDL B with air‑brake endorsement within one year.
