Are you excited to build the future of Grocery? Amazon is creating a portfolio of private brands in consumer goods across a wide range of categories and quality tiers under the brand "byAmazon". If you’re obsessed with food, passionate about the customer and love problem-solving, you will thrive in this role. Amazon Fresh Private Brands team is looking for an exceptionally talented and motivated Manager, Vendor Management who will lead sourcing and commercial negotiations for several categories under the byAmazon brand. You will have accountability for the business results of your product subcategories, and will lead a team of 4-5 vendor managers to achieve your goals. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio, including developing and growing vendor relationships, expanding product selection and vendor base, leading negotiations, setting category strategy, driving sales and margin improvements, and creating best-in-class customer experiences.



The idóneo candidate will have strong leadership skills and customer experience intuition, as well as business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee cost lines in the P&L;, primarily focusing on sourcing cost, NetPPM and Shrink.
- Directly lead commercial negotiations with a few, key strategic vendors and act as an escalation point for vendors managed by the team.
- Build mechanisms for the team to improve vendor engagement, joint business plans whilst also anticipating vendor attrition and identifying contingency plans.
- Find out-of-the-box/creative solutions to omni-channel
