Tooling & Equipment Commodity Buyer Full Time

Tooling & Equipment Commodity Buyer is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing and supplier strategies for CAPEX. T&E; Commodity Buyer leads the sourcing process, completes supplier negotiations, manages the supplier panel & ensures supplier performance.

Responsibilities

Lead commodity strategy and structure supplier panel

Identify and qualify new suppliers to onboard if required to support commodity strategies

Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective action if required

Responsible for achieving assigned cost reduction goals and other KPIs

Lead supplier RFQ and nomination process, negotiate all necessary purchasing contracts

Identify innovation capabilities of suppliers and pursue technology advancements

Negotiate payment terms to achieve financial objectives

Support acquisition process and drive competitiveness on T&E; investments

This position is based in Barcelona COE office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering

3+ years of experience in purchasing in an industrial environment (ideally automotive)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Analytical thinking and data driven oriented

Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferred)

At ease with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Microsoft Office tools
