Our team is searching for a Field Service Engineer “Accelerator” with skills and passion to install, maintain, repair and upgrade IBA Proton Therapy equipment worldwide. As a Flying Field Service Engineer “Accelerator", you play a key role in our mission to treat cancer patients. You participate in the installation and maintenance of the IBA systems, equipment on the Proton Therapy sites worldwide on customer’s site. You ensure the highest quality of state-of-the-art technologies and services. You will become a specialist in the latest cancer treatment solutions and represent IBA with your “know-how”.
Challenges we trust you with
- Install and test equipment/systems according to the defined planning, procedure timelines, operating processes, and specifications.




- Perform system troubleshooting and report improvements to the Research and Development Team.
- Maintain equipment/systems according to the maintenance schedule, and repair equipment/systems taking all necessary actions to resolve problems.
- Assist with the creation of training material and delivery of training to other colleagues.
- Document and report interventions and actions undertaken with high levels of detail and accuracy.
- Support the Remote Helpdesk shifts consisting of troubleshooting and dedicated support to our installed base.
- Participating in multidisciplinary projects to improve processes, product, and emphasize best practice sharing.

Skills And Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of science (or equivalent) in physics, electronics, mechanics, or systems engineering, or Master of science (or equivalent) in physics, electronics, mechanics, or systems engineering with less experience, major of Particle Accelerator is a strong asset.
