This position will report to the site PPL DIGITAL HW Manager.
Mission
- Understanding of technical requirements and definition of technical solutions.
- Digital Electronics design for on-board units (based on FPGAs and microprocessors).
- Preparation of design documentation.
- Schematics capture in Mentor xDesigner.
- Analog/digital electronics simulations.
- Signal integrity simulations in Hyperlynx, ADS, Ansys or similar.
- Review of post layout/placement activities.
- Review of PCB routing.
- Preparation of board-level tests procedure.
- Internal or customer Design Reviews.
- Support in validation and acceptance campaigns.
- Engineering Master, preferably Electronics with firm background in digital electronic design.
- Experience in (minimum 6 years) Digital electronics design: communication buses, memories (DDR2, DDR4, NOR Flash), FPGAs, microprocessors.
- Knowledge of design tools: LTspice, Simplix/Simetrix, OrCAD, …
- Experience with High-Speed digital links (>1 Gbps): simulations, routing guidelines, VITA Standard.




- Valued experience working with FPGAs like Kintex Ultrascale, PolarFire, RTG4, RTAX and RISC‑V based microprocessors.
- Valued knowledge of space normative (ECSS) and electronics interfaces standard.
