Laboratory Technician – Process Innovation & Catalysis
Are you ready to play a key role at IFF? We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team in Alcantarilla, Murcia.
You will be responsible for executing trials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of quality activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Experimental Execution & Analysis
- Prepare and execute laboratory trials.
- Operate sampling, analysis, and data manipulation equipment (GC, GC-MS, HPLC).
- Ensure accurate reporting of experimental results.
- Laboratory Operations & Maintenance
- Support organization and housekeeping activities in the lab.
- Manage preventive maintenance for analytical equipment.
- Monitor and replenish reactive and consumable supplies when needed.
- Coordinate sample shipments to external facilities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Ensure effective communication with pilot and industrial plant operators.
- Support process optimization initiatives within the technical team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Higher Technician Degree (FP Grado Superior) in Analysis and Control, Chemistry, or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 6 months of laboratory experience in reactor operation and gas chromatography analysis.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS), HPLC.
- Knowledge of lab equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal capabilities.
- Resilient and result-oriented mindset.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
- Languages: English proficiency preferred.
