Indirect Tax Associate, Madrid (Spain)

In today’s increasingly complex integral tax environment, having international reach, a strong local presence and the right expertise is critical to the successful execution of all client tax affairs.
Qualifications
- 3‑5 years of experience in indirect tax in Big4 or Big Law
- Strong writing, analytical, research and organisational skills




- Strong communication, presentation, project management and business development skills
- Preferably, member of BAR in Spain
- Eagerness to broaden expertise across other areas of tax
- Fluent in Spanish and English

The ideal candidates will be engaged, entrepreneurial, action‑orientated and hands‑on. They will have experience working in the Spanish market. The ability to quickly establish, develop and enhance internal and client relationships will be key in the collaborative network we work in at A&M.;
Responsibilities
- Support our Senior Directors/Managing Directors on VAT advisory projects, including M&A;, due diligence and deal structuring (advisory role with focus on M&A;)
- Contribute to pan‑European VAT and international supply chain projects
- Prepare practical, commercial VAT analyses using legislation and case law for a shared portfolio of clients
