We are supporting a leading pan-European data centre operator in appointing a Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of critical infrastructure projects in Spain.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing digital infrastructure business and take responsibility for coordinating complex data centre construction projects from pre-construction through to commissioning, handover and operational readiness.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Construction Manager, you will manage day‑to‑day construction activity, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
You will act as the main on‑site contact between internal project teams, general contractors, consultants, vendors, local authorities and other external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee on‑site and off‑site construction activities across assigned data centre projects
- Monitor project progress, programme, risks, costs and overall delivery performance




- Prepare accurate construction progress reports and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders
- Lead construction meetings, site coordination meetings and progress reviews
- Manage relationships with general contractors, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and Clerk of Works
- Ensure all works comply with approved designs, quality standards, safety requirements and Spanish regulations
- Work closely with design teams during the design and pre‑construction phases
- Support the timely issue of design, technical and commercial deliverables
- Identify project risks and implement clear mitigation plans
- Track construction costs, change orders and contractual claims in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Coordinate commissioning activities and monitor readiness for handover
- Ensure all construction close‑out documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Work closely with Operations, IT and Network teams to ensure operational requirements are fully inte
