ABOUT CRAG
CRAG is an independent research institution engaged in leading-edge basic and applied plant and farm animal sciences.
CRAG is established as a Consortium of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and University of Barcelona (UB).
The Center is located at the UAB Campus and currently hosts around 200 members from all over the world.
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a Postgraduate Student to join the Brassinosteroid Signaling in Plant Development and Adaptation to Climate Change Group, led by Dr. Ana Caño-Delgado.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute experimental strategies to characterize the biochemical regulation of BRL receptors in Arabidopsis thaliana.
Establish robust workflows for protein extraction, interaction studies and signaling analyses.
Drive the generation of reproducible biochemical data and contribute to hypothesis-driven research.
Manage and document experiments, data analysis and laboratory resources in accordance with good research practices.

Requirements
Research Field Chemistry Education Level Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or similar.
Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Plant Biology or similar.
The following will be positively valued:
Experience in plant molecular biology, protein biochemistry and Arabidopsis research.
Knowledge of plant receptor kinase signaling, brassinosteroid biology and molecular mechanisms regulating plant growth and stress adaptation.
Experience with protein interaction techniques, confocal microscopy and biochemical assays will be considered an asset.
Specific Requirements
Advanced level of English.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication skills and user training abilities.
Proactive and continuous improvement-oriented mindset.
Ability to coordinate and work within a technical team.
Languages ENGLISH Level Good

Selection process
WORKING CONDITIONS
Contract: 1 year, Postgraduate.
Hours/week: full time (37.5 hours/week).
