Technical Pre-Sales / Solutions Engineer - Energy Software (m/f/d)

I’m currently partnering with a fast-growing international software company delivering advanced solutions to the integral energy and utilities sector. Their platform helps organizations turn complex operational and asset data into actionable insights, supporting critical decisions across large-scale infrastructure networks.

Due to ongoing growth, the company is looking for a

n

Senior Pre-Sales / Solutions Engineer to support commercial activities across Europe.

n

The Role

n

This is a high-impact, customer-facing pre-sales position at the intersection of technology, sales, and the energy sector.nYou will work closely with the sales teams to shape and win new business, engaging directly with

n

Distribution System Operators (DSOs), Transmission System Operators (TSOs), and other utility customers

n

. The role involves understanding complex customer requirements and positioning tailored software solutions that deliver both technical and commercial value.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Pre-Sales & Commercial SupportnPartner with sales to qualify opportunities and support deal strategynLead technical discussions with prospective customersnDeliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and workshopsnSupport RFP/RFI responses and technical proposal processes

n





Solution Design & PositioningnTranslate customer requirements into tailored solution architecturesnAlign solutions with customer systems, processes, and regulatory requirementsnContribute to proposals including scope, timelines, and effort estimates

n

Customer EngagementnAct as a trusted advisor to utility clients and partnersnConduct discovery sessions to capture operational and technical challengesnSupport proof-of-concept and pilot projects

n

Internal CollaborationnWork cross-functionally with product, delivery, and engineering teamsnProvide market feedback to inform product development and positioning

n

Your Background

n

Experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting Strong knowledge of enterprise software or SaaS, ideally in the energy/utilities sector Experience working with DSOs, TSOs, or similar infrastructure customers

n

Familiarity with: Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Asset Performance / Analytics Network modelling or outage management Excellent communication skills, able to present to technical and business stakeholders

n

Commercial acumen and experience supporting complex sales cycles Fluent in Spanish & English

n
