Sales Manager

Applicants must have polymer resin trading or distribution experience

Our client is the Chemical trading division of an International conglomerate that has been active in the import/export trade and the development of new business for nearly five decades. This role is a new position created to develop sales and business of polyolefins primarily in Portugal and Northern Spain regions.
n
Regular customer visits and sales of our product range as well as the acquisition and performance of sales-oriented tasks through regular telephone customer contacts
n
Responsibility for sales, turnover and contribution margin for the assigned area
n
Active sales acquisition and identification of sales opportunities
n
Obtaining market information as well as determining and monitoring the competitive situation
n
Complaint processing and sales correspondence
n
Provide a weekly report on business activities (including sales performance versus budget) and the market environment
n
Provide visit reports & all relevant feedback in CRM
n
Analysis of customer, competitor and market trends and demand structure in defined area
n
Professional sales experience of more than 10 years
n
Working experience in trading or distribution company as a polymer resin trader, especially PE & PP items in Northern Spain and Portugal region
n
Fluent in Spanish and English languages.
n
An ability to speak Portuguese is highly desirable
n
MS Office skills For reasons of better legibility, the simultaneous use of the language forms male, female and diverse (f/m/d) is avoided.
