Job Title: Accountant – Bank, Payments & Accounts Receivable
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting team within Country Servicing. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate processing, reconciliation, and monitoring of bank transactions, payment runs, and accounts receivable activities, ensuring compliance with Group policies and French regulations.
Reporting
Reporting to the Treasury/AP/AR Manager, this position plays a key operational role within the team, working closely with internal stakeholders, cash collection teams, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
Responsibilities
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records related to bank and payment transactions.
- Prepare payment runs and coordinate authorized signatories, while managing corporate credit cards and bank platform access.
- Monitor accounts receivable ageing in collaboration with the cash collection team and support invoice, payment, and refund queries.
- Support audits and prepare journal entries, bad debt, write-offs, and monthly cash forecast inputs as required.
- Maintain data accuracy in ERP and reporting systems and produce regular reports on bank, payment, and AR activities.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a recognized accounting diploma (e.g., BTS Comptabilité, DPECF or equivalent).
- At least 4 years of experience in accounting roles covering bank reconciliations, payment processing, and accounts receivable.
- Good knowledge of accounting processes and compliance, with IFRS and French GAAP knowledge considered a strong plus.
- Strong system skills, including SAP, reporting tools, bank platforms, and solid Excel capabilities.
- Fluency in French and English; Spanish is a plus due to the office location.
