Director of Engineering | Luxury Hospitality | Balearic Islands, Spain

A rare opportunity to lead the engineering function for a high-profile, luxury resort in one of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after destinations.

This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance and long-term performance of a complex, design-led asset. You will play a critical role in shaping the guest experience behind the scenes, where precision, reliability and attention to detail are non-negotiable.

The Role

You will take full ownership of the engineering and maintenance strategy across the property, leading a high-performing team and driving best-in-class standards across all technical services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading all engineering, maintenance and facilities operations across the resort

• Ensuring full compliance with local regulations, health & safety, and brand standards

• Managing preventative maintenance programmes to protect asset value and minimise downtime

• Overseeing CAPEX projects, refurbishments and upgrades

• Driving energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives

• Managing budgets, costs and supplier relationships





• Partnering closely with senior leadership to support overall operational excellence

The Profile

We require a commercially minded engineering leader who understands the demands of a luxury hospitality environment.

• Proven experience as Director of Engineering (or similar) within luxury hotels or resorts

• Strong technical background across MEP systems and hotel infrastructure

• Experience managing large teams and complex operations

• Commercially astute with strong budgeting and cost control capability

• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels

• Fluent Spanish is essential

• EU work rights are highly advantageous
