ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a General HSE Professional to join the Corporate PMC team in our Bilbao, Madrid or Barcelona offices.
The Global HSE Professional establishes and drives a unified HSE governance framework across the corporate PMC projects portfolio.
The role ensures resourcing of project-specific professionals in the HSE domain, consistent standards, compliance, and performance reporting, enabling safe delivery and continual improvement across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations interfaces.
You will partner with project managers, regional HSE leads, contractors, and corporate functions to embed HSE in decision‑making, reduce risk exposure, and enhance safety culture globally.

ABOUT YOU
Apply if you…
Have a Bachelor's degree in HSE, Enviromental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field
Have over 7-10 years of experience in HSE experience in capital project environments (infrastructure, energy, industrial, real estate, pharma, etc.)
Have proven track record in PMC/PMO/corporate roles with multi‑project or regional oversight
Have knowledge/certification of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001
Have experience implementing risk‑based HSE management across EPC/contractor ecosystems
Have the ability to enforce safety standards even under pressure and challenge unsafe practices.
Collaborate with PMC team, contractors, and regulatory authorities; promote a strong safety culture.
Respond effectively to emergencies and evolving project conditions.
Have experience in HSE Risk assessment, hierarchy of controls, and critical controls verification
Have experience in incident investigation methodologies, root cause analysis and trend analytics
Have competence with HSE management systems, permit‑to‑work, and construction safety controls
Have experience in data analysis & reporting; proficiency in Power BI/analytics dashboards preferred
Are familiar with process safety, contractor management, and environmental compliance
Are a team player with technical excellence.
Can work independently with a flair for innovation.
Do have an advanced level of English.

Key responsabilities:
HSE Governance & Standards:
Develop, implement, and maintain global HSE policies and procedures aligned with corporate standards and international frameworks, ensuring compliance, leading assurance activities, setting contractor requirements, and driving continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
Resourcing:
Lead external resourcing efforts to secure project‑specific HSE professionals, ensuring timely and efficient staffing for new and ongoing projects.
Risk Management & Prevention:
Oversee comprehensive HSE risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks; verifying critical controls; implementing process safety measures; and maintaining global risk registers and governance reporting.
Incident Management & Learning:
Lead incident management processes including reporting, root cause analysis, corrective actions,
fatality‑prevention programs, and global dissemination of lessons learned.
Culture, Training & Capability:
Drive HSE culture and capability building through leadership engagement, competency frameworks, targeted training, onboarding, and coaching of project and regional teams.
Performance, Metrics & Reporting:
Define global HSE KPIs, build executive dashboards and reports, conduct trend analysis, and benchmark performance to enable data‑driven decision‑making and early risk escalation.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management:
Engage with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective HSE planning, competency, site readiness, and alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and compliance functions.
Environmental & Sustainability Interface:
Oversee environmental compliance and emergency preparedness while collaborating with sustainability teams on ESG reporting, climate objectives, and social responsibility initiatives.
