Service Engineer – Industrial Machinery
Company : International leader in industrial machinery engineering, headquartered in Madrid, Spain.
Location : Madrid (with national and international travel to client sites).
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise installation, alignment, adjustment, and commissioning of industrial machinery at customer sites.
- Perform mechanical alignment of rotating equipment (screens, mills, drums, kilns, dryers).
- Coordinate activities with installation contractors and clients.
- Verify compliance with technical drawings, tolerances, and specifications during installation.
- Validate functional tests prior to commissioning.
- Assist in resolving non-conformities arising during installation or service.
- Prepare detailed technical reports.
Preferred Technical Background
- Mechanical knowledge in adjustment of rotating equipment, screens, mills, etc.
- Technical drawing interpretation, welding and machining symbols.
- Occupational Risk Prevention – Safety Coordinator certification (PRL Recurso Preventivo).
- Vibration analysis.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Mechanics of rotating equipment : drums, screens, mills, kilns, dryers.
- Precision mechanical alignment : optical levels, laser tools, belt alignment systems.
- Assembly and disassembly of heavy machinery.
- Basic / intermediate vibration analysis and dynamic balancing.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical and isometric drawings.
- Mechanical tolerances, bearing and shaft fits, wheel and tyre adjustments.
- Industrial lubrication for rotating equipment.
- Materials : carbon steels and stainless steels.
- Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance management.
