and delivering People services and solutions that will result in enhanced business capability, and performance/ people engagement.What youll doBuilds and leverages relationships at all levels in the organization, informing and assisting others while being viewed as a valued, trusted, and credible business partnerActs as a trusted advisor to client leaders, assisting them to carry out their business and functional plansWorks with business leaders to effectively lead and execute all annual people initiatives for the organizationProvides strategic guidance to clients to implement solutions for employee relations issues trends, patternsPartners with business to provide guidance to management, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and performance improvement counseling Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to drive and/or lead changeFoster a culture that is diverse and inclusive, in line with the strategic goals of the organization, team building, organizational development, engagement and accountabilityFacilitates effective change management initiativesPresents options to leaders on organizational structure, roles and responsibilities, employee development, etc.Identifies and delivers training, both compliance and leadership, to client work group(s) (e.g., workplace environment, diversity, equity, and inclusion)Serves as an advocate for our employees and works to resolve team member People related questions and issuesExplains and interprets company and countries rules, regulations, policies, and procedures for team members and managementCoordinates and participates in the planning, recruiting, qualifying, screening and selection of candidates for employmentProvides detailed employee information to attend, resolve, follow-up labor cases and/or any other information required by local authorities. Own and lead the union relationship with local leadership for Peru, Colombia, and additional countries to be assignedOther duties and special assignments/projects as required by Senior People ManagerAll youll need for successCollege degree preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Psychology. Employee relations and Human Resources experience is preferred for this positionProved knowledge of Peruvian labor laws and regulations (extended South America labor knowledge --Northern Rim-- preferred)Strong leadership skills, with proven experience of influencing leaders and team membersStrong interpersonal skills People management skillsStrong ability to build relationships, both internally and externallyStrategic thought leadership and innovation Excellent oral and written communicationSound judgment and the ability to make balanced commercial decisionsAble to achieve objectives and targets on own initiative Ability to motivate a team to achieve common goalsStrong Time Management - Ability to multi-task and work well under pressureSelf-motivatedKey analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to communicate effectively in both written and spoken EnglishAble to work flexibly Strong negotiation skills Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Drive and determination Project management skillsAbility and willingness to travelWhat youll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:
