The EVM Group is a rapidly growing electrical and mechanical contractor looking to add an enthusiastic and involved Bookkeeper/Office Manager to our strong and growing team. We are centrally located in Hamilton, Ontario, providing service to our customers across Ontario, Canada and abroad.

At EVM, we work with some of Canada's largest companies providing installations, service, support and troubleshooting. From full plant installations, site works, small installs or repairs, to 24/7 emergency support, we offer it all.
WHAT WE NEED :
We are looking for an independent, motivated and talented bookkeeper/office manager to join our growing team. If you enjoy a fast paced,

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
posting invoices, receiving payments, reconciling customer accounts.
Processing day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payables and monthly entries.
Knowledge of the General Ledger and account allocations.
Posting AP vendor invoices to appropriate G/L accounts.
Reconciling bank statements & visa statements monthly.
Payroll preparation and administration for all company employees.
Account adjustments and customer's discrepancies.
AP payments and ensuring vendors are paid on timely basis.
Government Remittances such as Payroll, HST, WSIB etc..
Recording and posting credit card and other bank transactions.
Purchasing an inventory control
Other duties as assigned
Detailed oriented, exceptional organizational, communication and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated, have a positive attitude and a results oriented approach to business.
2+ years of prior working experience in accounting
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Must have 1+ years experience with Quickbooks
Proficiency in English and in MS Office (word, excel etc)
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
