The Marketing and Operations IT Project Leader represents a very exciting opportunity to be part of Viatris IT Commercial business facing Team supporting stakeholders throughout EU region. She/He will work in collaboration & partnership with Viatris IT groups, business units & enabling functions stakeholders, demonstrating her/his ability to think innovatively and strategically, working with different customer groups –

1) Marketing Teams, in capturing demand and transforming key commercial needs into breakthrough Digital and Technology solutions, incorporating new emerging technologies, towards evolving and creating new efficient ways of engaging with our stakeholders – How can we bring Health Care Professionals real value and How can we digitalize and kill slow and laboring – reinvent through digital assets.

2) Commercial Operations teams on implementing initiatives and projects that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our Business Operations model: Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Vault, Reports, etc.

The successful candidate will be responsible of effectively identifying and defining such opportunities, proposing alternatives, and shaping the solutions, building the business case - demonstrating knowledge about commercial activities, and emerging technologies, information systems and trends –, to enable and support the achievement of Commercial needs, and delivering on commercial strategy priorities, in a way that supports our model evolution, adds real value, and deliver expected impact.

The success of the Marketing and Operations IT Project Leader will be measured through her/his ability to communicate and engage with customer leads, successful identification, designing, planning & implementation of Digital IT projects and initiatives, ensuring that delivered solutions comply with Viatris IT, Compliance, Security Standards.

The role will be in charge of the activities outlined in the Key Responsibilities section. 

Similar previous experience of IT Project Leadership and Management, related to Digital innovation, Emerging Technologies and Information Technology knowledge will be required for any candidate.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Be the single point of contact relationship with stakeholders for Marketing and Operations initiatives, leading exciting initiatives, and IT projects cross EU countries.

- Identify opportunities where technology can build competitive advantage, internal efficiencies and provides game-changing innovation, and new ways to achieve business needs.

- Understands Marketing and Commercial Customers operational needs and strategic direction (Regional and Local).

- Works closely and builds strong working relationships with other Marketing and Commercial Operations teams.

- Analyzes business requirements and translates them into high value technology solutions, process improvement and optimization.

- Prepares Digital Marketing / IT Operations Project business case and presents it for project approval, manages new requirements and scope changes, according to IT governance processes.

- Drives Design, development and delivery of Digital projects and technology solutions to support achievement of Marketing and Commercial Operational needs, supporting strategic decision making, business goals and specific agreed requirements, ensuring customer expectations and needs are met.

- Ensures business unit sponsorship endorsement and agreements from SMEs on all initiatives. Manages and sets stakeholder expectations

- Ensures resources for projects, project ownership and project leadership from IT perspective. Works with service providers and customers to plan, quote and deliver solutions/projects according to established requirements.

- Leads project along with Business Project Owner and key stakeholders. Manages requirements, project plans, phases, sprints to organize results delivery with quality and Works with service providers and customers to deliver solutions/projects according to established requirements.

- Build trust and solid work relationships with Customers and Business Stakeholders by establishing clear objectives and specific requirements and delivering on these according to plan, cost, and quality, ensuring they are communicated regularly regarding progress achieved.

- Manages and sets stakeholder expectations, and ensures business unit sponsorship endorsement and agreements from corresponding SMEs

- Ensures resources for projects, project ownership and project leadership from IT perspective. Define the RFQ and SOW for external vendors across the solutions delivery lifecycle.

- Works with service providers and customers to deliver solutions/projects according to established requirements.

- Maintain project plans/milestones and project activities against these. Manages project along with Business Project Owner and according to LT expectations. Manages requirements, project plans, phases, and ensures quality deliverables. Works with service providers and customers to deliver solutions/projects accordingly.

- Maintains flexibility, simplicity and future strategy and Technology Roadmap as pillars for decision making towards solution definition and design. Leverages solutions across countries.

- Effectively lead meetings with clients, vendors, and stakeholders, and conduct productive technology project team status/review meetings, and status reports communications

- Perform business and functional analysis activities (e.g., documenting functional requirements) for projects as required.

- Identify, mitigate, and bring to resolution project risks/ issues. Escalate major project risks to scope or budget or timeline to appropriate escalation points.

- Ensure smooth transition of production applications to support and maintenance structures working with Infrastructure, Security, Compliance, and Run and Support Teams.

- Works closely, when necessary, with other Global and Regional IT Teams and interacts with peers and other IT organization colleagues.

- Review projects when complete against business case to ensure projected benefits are being realized.

- Key metrics for performance include on-time, on-budget, on-quality project delivery; client satisfaction on a project-to-project basis; user satisfaction and effective leadership of teams through influence.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering Diploma

- Emerging Technologies Courses / Experience

- Advanced level of English

- 2-3 years of previous experience on successfully leading and managing Digital and Emerging Technologies initiatives, project planning, vendor management, ensuring expected business impact is met, managing marketing and commercial stakeholders and key stakeholders’ expectations

- Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources: vendors, other project team members.

- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Innovation Emerging Technologies, Market Trends

- Courses or participation in Innovation Workshops, Design Thinking Methodology knowledge are an advantage

- Strong and communication skills. Successful candidate should be able to communicate easily details (technical or project related), and translate easily to functional user terms (impact, benefits, what can be done, what is required now and what is nice-to-have)

- Assertiveness to influence

- Experience in a large multinational publicly traded company

- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry (desired)

- Strong ability to engage cross – functional teams to deliver on time and within budget

- Experience of applying industry standard business analysis approaches 

- Curiosity and willingness to learn, effective communication and ability to quickly develop new technical and functional competencies.

- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, earning the trust both of customers and teammates.
