About the Team:

We are a high energy, dynamic, and collaborative team. In this field sales role, based in Madrid, you will be responsible for covering customers across Spain. Intralinks offers an integrated solution to these clients, providing a unified document repository, collaboration tool, and process management resource.

Overview :

We are seeking a high-energy, motivated Account Executive to represent Intralinks as we continue to expand our market share as the leading virtual data room provider. The Account Executive is responsible for selling virtual data room services for merger & acquisition (M&A;) purposes, as well as adjacent use cases.

Day to Day:

- Identify and establish relationships with investment bankers,

law firms, consultants, RE boutiques and other advisory accounts through prospecting and marketing leads for new accounts and expansion of contacts within existing accounts.

- Develop sales strategy and account plans within account deck to gain greater market share to include proactive research of potential deal activities and trends. 

- Ability to run customer meetings, product demonstrations and customer presentations.

- Manage and develop your network within the M&A; ecosystem.

- Deliver the Intralinks value proposition in the field, phone meetings and Zoom / Teams. Employ value-based conversations to arrive at a highly differentiated solution.

- Use LinkedIn Advanced Search and specialized press and database to identify the dealmakers.

- Build and maintain strong sales pipeline and forecast, through discovery calls and meetings.

- Drive the sales process and manage the contract and approval process of new deals, including negotiating on price and getting approvals including contract terms.

- Meet or exceed set Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

- Manage all information in our Salesforce.com CRM system related to the account(s).

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

- Proven success in achieving quota in a SaaS environment.

- Intermediate knowledge and understanding of financial markets.

- Ability to successfully prospect, conduct client presentations and high-level demonstrations as well as manage an entire sales cycle with the goal to generate new business and grow existing revenue streams.

- Strong prospecting, opportunity identification, account management, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage a highly transactional book of business, with a focus on driving a large amount of sales activity into the defined territory list.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM and web-based technologies such as LinkedIn.

- Fluency in Spanish and English.

It would be great if you also had:

- Salesforce.com expertise.

- Relevant business experience in M&A; either investment banking, private equity, or law firms.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross functionally with internal resources to ensure customer success.

- A background working in fast growth, small to mid-sized companies.


The Iberian team is part of the EMEA business unit and has shown strong growth over the past years and continues to meet and exceed sales targets. The team has been more than 13 years developing the market in Spain and Portugal becoming a leader for Virtual Data Rooms. As part of the EMEA business unit, the team is focused on continue increasing both the revenue and the market share.

The Iberia team builds relationships and business in the M&A; market with a heavy concentration of investment bankers, law firm professionals and corporates involved in mergers and acquisitions. This is a collaborative, dynamic team of sales professionals working out of our offices and in the field.
