The region is mainly Barcelona, Girona and Tarragona. The Business Development Manager is a key role in convincing business decision makers of Contact Lens customers and eye care practitioners to be proactive in their promotion and prescribing Alcon contact lenses. BDM will educate the customer segment on Alcon products from clinical and commercial perspectives and will establish strategic relationships. BDM also delivers commercial savvy solutions to the customers by leveraging and launching e-commerce strategy in order to drive growth and optimal resource utilization.
Develops effective professional business relationships with customers in order to target their specific needs and to differentiate Alcon products to position Alcon as the leader in the targeted therapeutic areas. Main Responsabilities: Executes business plans and drives achievement of sales targets for the assigned customers Executes interaction plans for customers to make ensure targeting the right person to deliver the right message with the right frequency Ensures that Alcon products and supporting services are broadly understood and available to more patients and customers Makes effective use of integral e-commerce solution and provides necessary digital marketing educational package to the customers Seeks ways to improve patient experience and satisfaction Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field Business/Marketing preferred or ideally education in the optics field Languages: Fluent local language (Spanish and Catalan), good level of English, written & spoken is an advantage Experience: 3+ years’ sales experience Main Competencies: Strong business and selling acumen Excellent communication skills Strong problem solving and customer management skills Strong influencing, negotiating and collaboration skills Analytical mind-set and systems thinking skills
