Our team Industries team is striving to be the gold standard for product and solution excellence, and customer focus. The Director/ Senior Director of International Industry Go-to-Market and Strategy for Energy will roll into the Industry General Manager for Energy and will be responsible for the Energy and Utilities go-to-market strategy in UKI/ EMEA and in key International markets. The ideal candidate has deep industry experience in power, utilities, renewable energy, and/ or the oil and gas industry. They also will ideally have operational experience with an enterprise software vendor, as a practitioner, or strategy consultant in Utilities or Energy. It is also critical to that this candidate have a strong grasp of Salesforce's solutions and capabilities for this market and the ability to present our vision for the industry to a C-level audience. This role requires a deep understanding and strong point-of-view on industry requirements and trends, and an ability to define solutions and messaging for global Energy markets. The role engages with customers and takes new solutions and products (Industry Clouds) to market, supporting sales readiness, enablement, and business development. As a leader in the Industries team, you will partner with key stakeholders in UKI, EMEA, and in International Markets around the world to define market strategy. This individual will collaborate with local regions to drive local GTM strategy and execution — including industry narrative, sub-vertical approach, sales play prioritization, partner engagement, and thought leadership with the sales leadership team. Responsibilities: Customer Engagement and Solution/ Product Fit In partnership with Global Industry Strategy and GTM, identify market trends, buying behaviors, market research and participate in product planning and roadmap process to drive requirements that impact the different regions Perform key analysis of our business including but not limited to pipeline health, resource capacity, competitive benchmarking, and win/loss to support growth Define customer/market JTBD for the industry, verticals, and Sub-verticals and then enable them with a strong product market fit using the Salesforce Customer 360 Cloud Platform and the Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud Lead Industry Solution planning, development, and launches and coordinate key internal and external (GSI/ ISV) parties through integration, GTM planning and launch. Act as the Energy and Utility Industry expert in region and participate in strategic customer engagements and demonstrations. Position the Energy Industry Solutions and Energy & Utilities Cloud as a key component in every Strategic Transformational Initiative for all energy accounts and help in the commercial shaping of the solution presentation Recruit customers and partners in market to act as solution design partners to support to product discovery and development Partnering closely with Energy & Utility Cloud product management team to shape the roadmap based on market and customer input Business Planning & Operations Lead planning process and ensure alignment with sales, product, and marketing on Salesforce and Industry Cloud products Own and manage the Go to Market initiatives for UKI, EMEA, and other key international markets working closely with Sales, Partner, Customer Success and Marketing on Industry solutions and products Develop and deliver monthly and quarterly KPIs and associated insights across all functions of the business in the regions - GTM, Product, Marketing, and Financial Coordinate Quarterly Business Reports across Product, Marketing, and Distribution for Industry Clouds Business working closely to Industry Cloud Sales Strategy Enablement Build and execute enablement plans and learning paths for Sales, SE, CSG, Partners teams in understanding Energy & Utilities solutions and Cloud in depth, working closely to Industry enablement and the International Program Office Provide Coaching to Sales & SE teams on strategies to drive sales wins Work closely with Partner Alliance team to grow the Partner ecosystem across SIs and ISVs Required Skills/Experience: Industry experience, implementation, Consulting leadership experience, GTM or Product leadership 10-15+ years of related experience, preferably in a leadership role within the Utility or Energy Industry in a GTM, Strategy, or Product organization Successful track record growing an International business Familiarity with Salesforce Cloud technologies Proven networking skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility and create confidence with partners, customers and colleagues Proven ability to lead through influence and drive successful projects and programs across a complex organization with many stakeholders Experience driving planning process and managing KPIs and ability to influence at all levels of an organization Ability to drive alignment on priorities with senior management Knowledge of unique regulatory requirements of Energy & Utilities sectors. Detailed knowledge of specific functional, technical, and procedural options to address these requirements. Experience in engaging partners including SI’s, ISV’s and strategic partners C-level exec interactions Be able to actively engage with senior Industry Business Executives, mostly C-Level to articulate the value of Salesforce Industry Solutions as a key enabler for business transformation Strong story-telling ability. Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong focus on customer success and customer service and a desire to help others succeed Highly energetic and motivated; strong attention to detail and accepts challenging assignments enthusiastically Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization Product Growth 5+ years prior experience in Cloud products Analytical Spirit, hands-on execution, and entrepreneurial mindset Successful track record building and executing GTM plans Ability to motivate senior industry GTM leaders and lead by influence in a complex Industry landscape Strong working knowledge of Clouds business and Salesforce CRM product Proven success working with product, sales, channel, marketing and operations functions in a go-to-market/product/technology organization Education and Travel Ability to travel up to 50% of the time Accommodations If you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this Accommodations Request Form.
