Inspire your Sanofi Journey! The Sales Specialist is responsible for sales to key customers and manages key accounts. The role will involve developing and delivering territory and key account plans, and maintain excellent external relationships based on long term professional partnerships. This is essential in order to maximize revenue and market share of products in the territory and to achieve/exceed sales targets .

In this role you will be:


- Responsible for the development and delivery of key account and territory plans, linked to national sales plans

- Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the product, market and customers

- Establishing and managing high quality customer relationships by maintaining knowledge of brand sales messaging, executing sales and marketing plans, scheduling and following-up with healthcare professionals and budget decision makers

- Making compelling and persuasive sales pitches to designated customers resulting in sales of products

- Sharing knowledge with these customers regarding the therapeutic area and the efficacy, safety and preferred positioning of product(s) to create a better understanding of the disease and the patients affected

- Analysing accounts, develops and executes plans for key accounts

- Reporting relevant information about customer contacts in the Customer Relationship Management System

- An expert in customer relations and acts as a resource, role model and coach to colleagues

- Influencing the content of national sales plans, policies and processes based on experience and knowledge


- Aiming to (over)achieve budgeted revenue target for individual territory

- Participating in relevant sales meetings

- Responsible for specific marketing activities/programs

- Participating in congresses and symposia for key accounts and KOLs, and supports activities during these events

- Organising territory-specific scientific education events

- Supporting the organization of scientific education events

- Adhering to internal and external regulations regarding interaction with healthcare providers and other customers


- Building and maintaining strong relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals and budget holders

- Working closely with Product Managers and Therapeutic Area Manager to develop and deliver sales and marketing plans

- Working closely with colleagues in the affiliate to build and align sales plans with other targets and strategies

- Building and maintaining a multidisciplinary network of internal and external stakeholders

About You

To succeed in this role you will be/have:

- Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science, (Para)Medical or Business subject

- Commensurable sales experience in a (competitive) pharma environment, preferably in the specific product/disease area (Hematology & Multiple Myeloma)

- Experience within a multidisciplinary business environment is essential

- An excellent networker, able to build trusting and lasting relationships with customers

- Medical and scientific affinity

- Successful launch experience

- Knowledge and network within Myeloma therapeutic area (highly desirable)

- Experience with biological products (preferable)

- French speaking with good understanding of English (written, speaking, listening)


- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Professional, goal oriented and proactive, with a strong work ethic

- Ability to operate in a cross-cultural and complex matrix environment

- Integrity and self-awareness

- Analytical and forward thinker, problem solver, results oriented, self-organized and self-starter

- Entrepreneurial attitude
