Expleo Iberia is looking for a Software Safety Engineer for the Transportation Sector.





Responsibilities



In the context of the development of a railway product (control, command and signalling system, SIL4 software system, generic product development) the candidate will perform safety activities as a member of the safety team.





The candidate will carry out safety activities at software level (source code). His/her work will consist of:



- Source Code analysis: inspection of the Ada language source code to check the correct implementation of software safety requirements.

- Safety Verification of Software Requirement Specifications.

- Safety Verification of Software Architecture Description.

- Support to system safety activities.

- Support to external safety audits.



Qualifications



Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial engineering, Computer Science, Systems, or another related field desirable.



Skills



Mandatory skills:



- Knowledge of Ada programming language ( user level, not advanced; able to read the code). If not Ada, knowledge of other languages, as C++ would be applicable.

- Able to understand and analyze software algorithmics

- Able to analyze complex systems

- Safety critical : experience in software lifecycle , either verification/validation activities or design/development.

- Rigorous, with critical mind

- Willing to develop a career in Safety Engineering .

- English B2



Highly recommended skills:



- Knowledge of ERTMS/ETCS (specially trackside; RBC).



Bonus skills:



- Knowledge / experience in Safety Engineering (especially for software systems) :

- safety lifecycle

- safety critical standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, or others as DO178, IEC 61508).

- safety analysis such as FMEAs

- French B1/B2



Experience



Required experience: at least 3 years in related activities.
