For our team in Life & Health Accounting team we are looking for a talented professional to join our team and who is committed to work with internal and external clients. In an exciting environment the Life&Health; Reinsurance Accountant Analyst acts as the Single Point of contact and ensures the service deliverables are met.

Your job



- Serve as the main contact for internal & external customers.

- Act as an advisor to the business unit in accounting & reporting related issues.

- Contribute in the preparation of the quarterly financial reports to provide an overview of the financial statements for key clients.

- Subject matter experts on specific accounting topics.

- Drive and participate in accounting and business related projects across divisions.

- Corresponding with and advising cedants on accounting and general administration matters.

- Conduct client reviews/audits & internal reviews.

- Respond to client enquiries accurately and professionally and if necessary, liaise with other departments within MR for support to ensure an efficient and professional response is given to achieve client satisfaction.

- Forge strong relationships with Life& Health business units including middle offices (e.g. CM, Claims, Actuarial Hub etc.)

- Provide timely and effective business support including financials, and regulatory impacts to meet business needs as required.

- Commit to the department`s service standards affecting turnaround times.



Your profile



- Degree in business management, with an accounting focus and/or completed business studies qualification and +2 years' accounting/reporting experience.

- Knowledge of reinsurance accounting based on the IFRS, HGB and Solvency II is a plus.

- Good business knowledge and understanding of various aspects of the business operations and the associated financial dynamics, financial reporting systems

- Fluent using Microsoft packages i.e. Excel. SAP is a plus.

- Experience in project driven environment and awareness of project management methodology.

- Ability to work independently and on own initiative.

- Commitment and assertiveness.

- Confident and engaging manner and good team skills.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and managerial skills.

- Excellent language skills in Spanish and English.

- Readiness to travel for training courses and client visits.
