You’re someone who will build brand love and loyalty with each post, story and video. You’ll know why each individual post matters, and never rely on quantity over quality. Your vision for our channels will be engaging: it’ll be what audiences want to see, what they want to share and conversations they want to be a part of.
As well as knowing how to use each social channel, you’ll spend time thinking why. Why should one of our campaigns be supported by a series of TikToks? Why does one influencer fit the brief perfectly? Why does optimising each channel help make us a brand to believe in? By delving deeper than hashtags,
you’ll discover the potential of each channel and help us amplify our vision of being the place where fashion, culture and conversation starts.WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDEDBe a leader. We want followers on our channels, not in our teams. You’ll be comfortable coming to pitch a daring social media idea, identifying something new to try and striving to be the first to do it.Lead by example. You won’t just take the lead, you’ll inspire your team to follow your lead. You’ll foster an environment where development and trust are paramount, and you act as an ambassador for the team. You know one size doesn’t fit all. You’ll be familiar with the strengths and quirks of different social channels, and this will be represented in well-thought out content calendar, briefs and clear directions for specific channel and community managers. You remember we are still a business. Fashion is one of the most fun industries to work in, a business constantly evolving, liberating and innovating, but it is still a business. You’ll meet the commercial targets, showing an understanding of measurable KPIs, analytics, managing stakeholders and partner relations.You’ll share our vision for the bigger picture. Trends start with us, but we don’t stop there. You’ll contribute to the discourse around fashion beyond the label: sustainability, self-expression and identity, and inclusivity.You’ll be reactive and proactive. You’ll know the cultural events and topics that matter to our audience – Pride, Black History Month, sustainability – and you’ll share our support and vision around these sensitively. You don’t keep up, you keep ahead. From pop culture to new platforms, you’re naturally ‘on it’ - you know what people are talking about, what people will be talking about and you’ve got ideas for how Zalando will shape the narrative.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (WHO YOU ARE) Have 7+ years of experience in social media, developing impactful, innovative strategies and content that gets people talking and gets quantifiable results against agreed KPIs.Have the skill to balance theory and action. You’ll have big, bold ideas but you’ll know how to get them executed.Have strong people management skills, being confident in developing a team and getting everyone to share a vision, playbook and strategy for different channels.Want to disrupt and challenge.
