Description of the job

A position as Mission Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join TEAMI-TL3 department.

Tasks & accountabilities

As Mission Systems engineer the candidate will:

Participate in Mission Systems developments for M&L;, MRTT and RPAS/UAS, mainly focused on detailed design (FRDs, functional modeling & prototyping, Subsystem Specs, ICDs, Drawings, Equipment Integration, etc.) considering a V-shape development framework.

This also considers:

The V&V; activities associated as Rig Testing, A/C ground testing, etc.

Supporting the full qualification & Certification of the product.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.

Expertise in Mission & Avionics is greatly appreciated.

Good knowledge of:

1. Mission Sensors & Subsystems, as EO/IR, Radar (SAR, MPR, etc.), SIGINT/ELINT/COMINT, AIS, PLS, Computing, ESM, etc. is also appreciated.

2. Displays, Navigation Systems, Computing Platforms, Transponders, etc.

3. UAS and/or Manned Mission Systems.

4. Procurement activities, from supplier selection to control and monitoring activities.

Excellent knowledge of development & integration activities, from requirements capture to verification/validation activities to achieve a qualified/certified system. That includes engineering fields as safety, quality assurance, configuration control, etc. applied to Mission Systems.

Proactivity is a must.

Good communication skills, assertiveness and willingness to travel

Programming skills (C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, etc) and Model Based Design knowledge will be highly appreciated.
