Director of Sales & Marketing - Pre Opening - Hotel Candela Marbella With a planned opening in the summer of 2024, the Hotel Candela Marbella is excited to be recruiting for management team. The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience in luxury brands in a Director of Sales and Marketing position and is fluent in Spanish and English. Ideally, the candidate has prior experience in leading a hotel opening or major renovation/conversion.
This is what your day looks like:
Primary point of contact on all sales and marketing issues for the General Manager, Owner, Group Sales Team and Area Commercial Leader
Developing sales goals and strategies in alignment with the overall business strategy and being responsible for all proactive and reactive (event sales) sales activities as well as for the reservation department
Developing marketing and communication strategies
Analyzing market and economic trends as well as competitors to continuously strengthen the own position in the market
Point of contact for customers, participating in sales calls to acquire new business and/or close deals, and building long-term, value-based customer relationships
Developing strong partnerships and collaborations with local organizations to further increase brand/product awareness, participating in customer events, regional and national trade shows
Budget planning and controlling
Goal setting and performance evaluation of direct team members, as well as coaching and development meetings

Knowledge of overall hotel revenue management concepts, processes and strategies
Financial resource management, ability to analyze profit and loss (P&L;) statements, develop operating budgets and revenue targets, forecast and plan capital expenditures
Successfully completed studies with a focus on sales and marketing or comparable training, as well as at least 5-8 years of experience in sales and marketing with management responsibility
