Position Title: Manager, Adverse Media Entities, Risk & Compliance

Reports To: Director, Risk & Compliance Company Risk Research

Location: Barcelona

Job Summary:

The Manager will be part of the Risk & Compliance team, a division of Data Strategy. The Dow Jones Risk & Compliance business provides a comprehensive response to financial regulations by offering global, accurate, up-to-date information on people and companies - enabling customers to meet regulatory guidelines, perform enhanced due diligence, control money laundering and illicit payments, and manage risk across their business.

The Manager is responsible for managing a team of Research Editors based in Barcelona.

The team is one of four responsible for the development, growth, maintenance and quality of the Adverse Media Entities content set.

The Manager reports to the Director, Risk & Compliance Risk Research and plays a key role in the continuing market success of Risk & Compliance.

The Manager works closely with peers and reports to ensure that Risk & Compliance content is kept up to date and meets client requirements of content and quality.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Lead, in a collaborative environment, a highly dedicated research team to achieve Risk & Compliance's output/quality/timeliness targets. The Manager's duties include recruitment, defining goals, performance management and identifying and implementing coaching and development with staff.

The Manager is responsible for allocating research responsibilities across the team of Research Editors to deliver the most comprehensive, accurate, up-to-date and thorough coverage possible to meet client expectations. The Manager must ensure that the research team meets a tight schedule of delivering new content to clients.

The Manager must define and refine research workflows, ensuring the most efficient process possible using automation tools where feasible.

Good communication skills are key to the role of the Manager who must relay to their team the strategic requirements to give Risk & Compliance a sustainable competitive advantage.

Managers may be called on to promote the Risk & Compliance research process internally and externally and support Risk & Compliance Specialists prospecting and selling the service.

Managers are also required to ensure that clients receive clear, responsive communication to queries relating to the Risk & Compliance research process and its content.

Internal - With the Director, Risk & Compliance Companies Risk Research

Internal - With the Vice President, Risk & Compliance

Internal - With other Managers and Research Editors. Close collaboration and clear communication are required to meet targets.

Internal - With Product Manager, Risk & Compliance to ensure products meet market requirements.

Internal - With Operations Manager, Automation & Reporting team, Technology team and other any other internal stakeholders.

Internal - With Sales and Customer Service selling and supporting Risk & Compliance products.

External - With prospects and clients of Risk & Compliance products.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

Excellent understanding of Risk & Compliance, its structure, its content and methodology used.

experience in managing, motivating, developing, coaching, mentoring and managing the performance of a research team.

Ability to manage a team with a focus on quality- and quantity-metrics and finding the right balance Importante empresa the two.

Ability to identify wholly with Dow Jones's service obligations to its clients.

Strong presentation and communication skills (both internally and externally).

Strong research skills.

Ability to identify and improve enhancements to existing workflows.

Ability to adapt readily to changing customer expectations and allocate resources appropriately.

Ability to take ownership of issues.

Ability to coordinate appropriate internal resources.

Education to degree level.

Fluency in English. Proficiency in other major languages is an advantage.
